Few seasons show such a variety of colours and weather like autumn. The summer is indeed colourful with all its flowers, but apart from them it is mostly different shades of green. Autumn is different. Not every one, but this particular one really was as you will see in these galleries.
The weather in autumn is also different. It can vary from bright and really warm and sunny to dark clouds and a thick, wet fog with almost zero visibility. In between there can be devastating storm with winds strong enough to tear roofs off of houses. We had one of those here in 1999.
The photos in the galleries here were all taken in September - October 2000. By the way, the leaf in the title graphic is actually a real leaf which I've scanned.
